Please call 1 800-322-GIRL (4475) to speak directly with someone who can help you get involved!
Who can join?
Girl Scouts is for every girl, everywhere. Girl Scouts welcomes girls of all religions, nationalities, economic backgrounds and abilities.
Girls, ages 5-17, or in kindergarten to grade 12, can join. Identified by the membership pin, all members share in the Girl Scout Promise & Law, pay national dues, and follow safety guidelines. The uniform, though not required for participation, is a powerful symbol that says, "I belong to Girl Scouts!"
How much does it cost?
The annual membership fee to be a member of Girl Scouts of the USA is $10. This includes accident insurance which covers participation in Girl Scout activities. To ensure that all girls can participate in Girl Scouts, financial assistance may be requested from the council.
What types of things do Girl Scouts do?
Girl Scouts is not just about cookies, camp, and crafts! Girl Scouts are given progressive opportunities to explore the world around them.
Recently, girls in our council have participated in:
Daisy Girl Scouts go on field trips, learn about nature and science, and explore the arts and their communities. They can also earn Learning Petals and participate in patch program.
Brownie Girl Scouts work together in groups, earn Brownie Girl Scout Try-Its, and explore their community. They can also participate in patch programs and earn religious awards.
Junior Girl Scouts earn badges and discover what girl power is all about through new activities and by learning to take charge of their own plans. They can also participate in patch programs, and earn religious awards and the Girl Scout Bronze Award.
Senior Girl Scouts continue to earn Interest Project Awards, work on focus books, and can earn the highest award in Girl Scouting, the Girl Scout Gold Award.
